The eight steps to Mastering the Art of Perception is written from a scientific standpoint but its application can be applied almost anywhere to anything. Mastering the Art of Perception - short and abridged version 1. Existence is infinite - in every way you measure it. (i.e. infinitely
large or small, infinite time, infinite dimensions) We humans are pattern seekers. We will abstract fragments and make them into recognizable patterns or objects. How often have you looked at a cloud and said it resembles something or take the stellar constellations, or the pictures below. The first picture was taken in 1976 by NASA's Viking Orbiter of a formation on Mars. The image looks like a human face burried in the ground or of a huge rocky sculpture of a human face. For 22 years we had developed many theories as to what could have cause the face. In 1998 the Mars Global Suryor took the second image of the exact same location. The second image shows a rocky outcropping much like thousands of others on Mars. It's apparent the first image was a result of shadows caused by the suns position at the time. However knowing the truth doesn't always make disbelievers of us. Many may argue the face has been worn by solar winds and covered by blowing soil and dust. Images Courtesy of NASA and space.com > http://www.space.com/searchforlife/seti_devore_face_020425.html It is very important to understand the motivations and possible consequences for your actions, and more importantly - the actions of those around you. Ignorance and apathy is probably the largest obstacle facing humanity. Collectively - we need to overcome the fears the majority of people have. To do this we need to make people feel secure they are going to have Without trying to make any religious overtones... "The place you go when you die could be both heaven and hell. A place of only truth.
Secrets and lies that you can't live with,
and forgive yourself for - even after death, will haunt you for eternity and its perception
will be hell. If can forgive yourself and can be
forgiven by others, then a place of truth is truly heaven. I would like to see a world where you never have to be afraid. Afraid of telling
the truth, afraid of war, afraid of hunger, afraid of loneliness - for this
would be
heaven on earth."
